Cooperative Adventure We Were Here Tomorrow Secures October Release Date

Total Mayhem Games has finally locked co-op puzzle adventure We Were Here Tomorrow’s October release date, and you won’t have to wait long for the next instalment in the famous series.

Following our hands-on preview at Gamescom and chat with the developers, we knew a release date reveal was near, and now Total Mayhem has confirmed, as promised, the co-op adventure will arrive on October 20, 2026, hitting both PC and current-gen consoles at the same time.

To make the announcement more official, a new ‘release date reveal trailer’ was also shared:

“While We Were Here Tomorrow introduces a new retro-futuristic setting, it remains firmly rooted in the world and gameplay that fans have come to know. Explorers will encounter familiar elements and references throughout their journey, alongside new mechanics that challenge them to communicate and cooperate in ways they haven’t experienced before.”

In We Were Here Tomorrow, players must explore a mysterious Norček facility after suddenly awakening inside it without memories of how they got there. Something big has happened, and the place seems deserted, but there’s a guiding hand that may or may not be an ally…

As usual, We Were Here Tomorrow is a strictly co-op game that mixes platforming, pure adventure with an emphasis on exploration and curiosity, and puzzles that require both perfect coordination with your partner and voice communications. The hands-on demo at Gamescom was charming and inventive, and even surprised with a bigger focus on constant experimentation. Let’s hope the full game is able to keep the rhythm up and deliver the retro-inspired journey fans of the series were waiting for.

We Were Here Tomorrow will launch on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 20, 2026. It only supports online two-player co-op, and communication via microphone is required.
