Pour Tea Through a Board of Tubes and Gutters in Teacade: Tea Pouring Puzzle

Teacade: Tea Pouring Puzzle is another game by Lianes8 Studio, a one-person studio based in Spain. The puzzle game is all about figuring out how to get tea from the top of the screen to a bunch of animal guests waiting at the bottom.

You’ve got a bunny, a fox, an owl, a hedgehog, a bear, and a cat, and every single one of them has a glass with a fill line. Your job is to get the tea into every glass without leaving it short or spilling so much that it goes over the brim.

You slide a teapot along a rail at the top of the screen, let go, and one serving of tea comes pouring down. Where it goes from there is up to you to figure out. There are porcelain gutters, glass tubes that loop around and split into different paths, funnel portals, tappable valves, a water wheel, cups sitting on a moving belt, see-saws, switches, trapdoors, and even a cutter that only lets half of the tea through.

But it’s not that simple and plain. Plenty of the puzzle pieces change after every serving. A switch or seesaw can tip in the opposite direction, the water wheel turns half a rotation, the belt moves the cup along, and a trapdoor opens after enough tea has flowed over it.

Each table in Teacade: Tea Pouring Puzzle gives you a set number of servings

A glass counts as served when the tea reaches its line, but going past that line costs you a star. Letting a glass overflow its brim means you lose the entire table. If you’re aiming for three stars, you’ll need to serve every glass, avoid losing even a single drop, make sure no glass goes past its fill line, and finish without using more servings than the table actually needs.

Teacade: Tea Pouring Puzzle comes with 120 tea-pouring puzzles spread across six valleys, with 20 tables in each valley, starting at Garden Table. There are 14 different pieces introduced one after another. As you progress, the pieces you’ve already learned about keep showing up together in new combinations.
