Walk The Frog is a cosy little puzzle adventure now available on mobile. The game launched on PC earlier this year and has released on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch now. It’s developed by German indie team Walk The Frog in partnership with Bright Gambit.

Help a little frog get back home in Walk The Frog

His best friend, Buddy, is waiting for him at home. Froggo has to reach there in time for the Froggapalooza festival, which celebrates the start of spring. His world is a complete mess, and it’s up to you to sort it out before he can make it back to his pond. Also, every animal he meets along the way has something to say, so getting home might take a little longer than expected.

The game takes place across hand-drawn sticky notes that you need to drag around, drop into the right places, and rearrange to create a path for Froggo. Each level starts with a bunch of illustrated notes scattered around, and you have to figure out how they fit together so he can keep moving.

Walk The Frog has 18 levels spread across three chapters: The Forest, The Insect City, and Fields and Meadows. Along the way, Froggo will run into all sorts of funny, cheeky, sassy, and downright quirky animal characters.

The encounters bring in conversations, unexpected friendships, little jokes, and opportunities for the characters to help each other overcome obstacles. Some of these conversations are optional, too, and certain dialogue choices can change little details in the story.

The game’s hand-drawn 2D art style is a big part of that appeal, with every sticky note packed with little illustrations and personality. There’s also an ambient soundtrack to help create that warm, cosy atmosphere, making it a bit like an interactive storybook.

So, Walk The Frog from the Google Play Store. It’s up for grabs for $6.99.
