Can you defeat the Barons?
Extremely OK Games and Noel & Liam Berry are cooking up something unique with City of None. Revealed during today’s Indie World Showcase, the game is a mix of platforming, puzzle-solving, and action gameplay set in a sprawling metropolis overrun with darkness. Take a look at City of None in this trailer:
This foreboding city is filled with “strange spirits, wicked beasts and ferocious robots.” Powerful Barons feast on the souls of its citizens, and the player is cast as one of those lost spirits. House inside a wooden body, this spirit must try to beat the Barons and save the city. Each sector inside of the city has its own “distinctive environments, playstyles and four-color palettes, with winding pathways, unique items and enemies to battle.”
No release date just yet, but City of None will come to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch at some point in 2027.
